THE JOY OF BALLROOM DANCE CLASSES
Some children are born dancers, while others struggle to find their niche. They may show little interest in academics and run in the other direction if a ball is thrown their way. Ballroom classes allow a child to express their creativity in a way that makes them feel most comfortable. As they learn from our teachers how to move their bodies gracefully and in time with the music, they build self-esteem, which is so important in the formative years.

Additionally, ballroom classes are a great for improving endurance, strength and cardiovascular health. You may not think the dancers are working hard when you watch ballroom dancing on TV because they make it look so easy, but ballroom dance lessons are definitely a workout. We like to underscore the joy that ballroom dance lessons can bring, and for some dancers, part of that joy is competing. Going head-to-head against other children and winning ribbons and medals is tangible proof that your child’s hard work is paying off.

Our junior high and high school ballroom dance teams are by audition only. If your youngster has their sights set on making the team when they are old enough, you may want to sign them up for technique classes to improve their skills. Technique classes are required for ballroom dance team members — everyone is working hard at becoming No. 1!

We also offer ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and combo classes, as well as tumbling classes because we want to produce the most well-rounded ballroom dancers in South Jordan.
